Walking Figure
A personification of Mother Earth, the figure is cloaked in a mantle of vegetation. Her head, body and arms are reminiscent of forms derived from rocks and a mesa environment.
Above her head is a shattered halo suggesting the earth's altered state due to man's presence and his destruction of her earth body. Nonetheless, the figure, over thirteen feet tall, boldly moves forward, a hopeful symbol of the power of nature to survive.
